What is multi-factor authentication?
Multi-factor authentication, or MFA, provides an added layer of security to protect against unauthorized access to online accounts by requiring users to enter two pieces of information to access a network. In addition to a username and password, users logging into Relius.net will be required to enter a One-Time PIN code (“OTP”) sent to a designated account – via either email or text message.
When will I be prompted to use MFA?
You will be prompted to use MFA whenever you attempt to log in from an unrecognized or unregistered device. You may register your device as a recognized device (only recommended for devices that are private and secure) when completing the MFA process on that device. Recognized devices will generally bypass MFA; however periodic re-registration, via the MFA process, will be required.
