DEFINED CONTRIBUTION EMPLOYER AMENDMENTS
These apply to individually designed plans, IDP-formatted volume submitter plans, and any other pre-approved plans (prototype or volume submitter) where SunGard is the sponsor. (For preapproved plans, this can be determined by looking at the name shown on the IRS opinion or advisory letter that applies to the plan.) Employers are required to sign all amendments that are applicable to these plans. These amendments are suitable for sponsors of pre-approved plans (prototype or prototype-formatted volume submitter) to adopt on behalf of all adopting employers. If your firm is the sponsor of a pre-approved plan, then your firm name will appear on the IRS opinion or advisory letter and you may adopt certain amendments on behalf of all adopting employers.
PRE-APPROVED PLAN SPONSOR DB AMENDMENTS
These are suitable for sponsors of pre-approved plans (prototype or prototype-formatted volume submitter plans) to adopt on behalf of all adopting employers. If your firm is the sponsor of a pre-approved plan, then your firm name will appear on the IRS opinion or advisory letter and you may adopt certain amendments on behalf of all adopting employers.
403(b), 457(b) & GOVERNMENTAL PLAN AMENDMENTS
These apply to SunGard 403(b), 457(b) and governmental DC plans. These amendments must be adopted by each employer, as there is no sponsor level adoption of the amendments.
CAFETERIA PLAN AND SELF-FUNDED HEALTH PLAN AMENDMENTS
These apply to SunGard cafeteria and self-funded health plans. These amendments must be adopted by each employer, as there is no sponsor level adoption of the amendments.
MISCELLANEOUS
These are various amendments, forms and notices that SunGard has made available to all customers.
