**Webinars are only available to GLUG group members.**

Tuesday, December 11, 2018

10:00 AM to 12:00 PM CT

Dual Eligibility
: Mark Reasoner
Session Description:

Satisfying a plan’s eligibility requirements is the most important thing an employee must do to start benefitting under a plan. But it may not be a one-time thing as plans could have different requirements for different parts of the plan. It’s called “Dual Eligibility” or “Source Eligibility” and this session will demonstrate how to set up these different eligibility requirements in Relius Administration, how they are applied when we process eligibility and how they can impact our compliance tests and other results.

Eligibility, Contributions & Allocation Formulas
: Mark Reasoner
Session Description: Get a detailed look at the Allocations Requirements form in Plan Specifications and the relationship between Eligibility, Allocations Requirements and Formulas and Census data.

Wednesday, December 12, 2018

10:00 AM to 12:00 PM CT

Partnership & Sole Proprietorships - Ideal Salary Calculations

Presenter: Mark Reasoner
Session Description: Partnership and Sole Proprietor entities present special challenges for setup, calculating contributions, compliance testing and other issues. Mostly due to the use of Ideal Salaries rather than entered compensation for the partners and proprietors. In this session, we’ll look at these special steps and show how Relius can efficiently perform the needed calculations. The process works for determining contributions, compliance testing and even with the Optimizer.

Thursday, December 13, 2018

10:00 AM to 12:00 PM CT

System & Plan Utilities

Presenter: Mark Reasoner
Session Description:Most of what we do in Relius Administration has to do with our plans, participants and such. But there are also some very important functions that need our attention because they apply to the system itself. Some, like profiles and passwords, have to do with security and access. Others, like file locations and table maintenance, deal with general maintenance and upkeep. Still others like audit settings, display options and other defaults can make our day-to-day work more efficient

DB Viewer
Presenter: Mark Reasoner
Session Description: Ever wonder how you could get data out of the system that wasn’t available via a report or export? Maybe you don’t need a report and DB Viewer is the answer. We will demonstrate how to query the database for information you might need as well as some simple updates to turn items on and off in Relius.

**Webinars are only available to GLUG group members.**

Membership Information

The objective of the Great Lakes Users Group is to help provide our members with the most up-to-date information concerning the Relius administration system and other products / services offered by FIS. The group is able to provide members with advance previews of forthcoming FIS software releases, a low cost training option for your employees and a direct voice to FIS for input on future software enhancements and other concerns that are impacting your business.
The annual dues are $95 per organization. The dues are to help provide a minimal cash reserve for various group purposes, primarily to help cover any meeting cost overruns and most importantly to help pay for any expenses associated with guest speakers at the meetings. We try to have FIS personnel at all meetings we hold because of the value they bring to the table.

Meeting costs for non-training sessions are $100 per attendee of member firms ($150 for non-member firms). Meeting costs for training sessions will be determined based on the number of days and topics involved.)

Advantages of being a group member include:

  • Advance registration for group meetings and training sessions
  • Discounted meeting registration fees
  • Custom Relius / GLUG webinar; available to members only
  • Minutes / meeting notes from group meetings
  • Networking access to other group members and FIS staff who attend the meetings

Over the years there have been many group members who call one another to discuss common problems and issues relating to the use of Relius. Members are generally very comfortable with helping one another.

If you are interested in joining the Great Lakes User Group, please call Bill Cardiff at 414-906-2941.
