Presented by GLUG and FIS

Monday, November 13th
10:00 am – 12:00 pm (CT)                ADP/ACP Testing - During this session, we will review the ADP/ACP testing as
well as the available correction methods. In addition, we will review prior year vs.
current year testing and other testing options.

Tuesday, November 14th
10:00 am - 12:00 pm (CT)                Cross-testing & Nondiscrimination During this session, we will review
cross-testing and General Non-Discrimination testing. In addition, we will review the
                                                       various test options.

What's Coming in Future Releases - During this session, see what’s scheduled to
be released for upcoming versions for both Defined Contribution and 125/Cafeteria.
Maybe an enhancement request you entered previously is on the horizon.

Wednesday, November 15th

10:00 am - 12:00 pm (CT)                Overview of Relius Support, Help and Technical Advice Tools -  What are the Top
10 Support Issues? See what the most common or most timely support issues are that
users are calling into Relius Administration Support. We will not only tell you what these
issues are, but provide you with the best resolution for them.

The webinars will generally take an hour, but we have scheduled two hours to accommodate questions and additional discussions.  These sessions will be devoted to a single topic – Plan Specifications.  We felt this would be a great topic (training for newer team members and refresher for the more experienced) prior to the start of Q4 when there is generally an uptick in new business being added.  Please make your plans accordingly.

includes a great handout to take back to your office with you for future use.

Wednesday, August 30th
10:00 am - 12:00 pm (CT)                Plan Specifications (Part 2) Have you ever wondered why a particular
Relius feature isn’t working the way you expect it to? Proper setup of Plan
Specifications is critical to making sure your plan runs correctly. This session
will review some of the most important fields in Plan Specifications and
includes a great handout to take back to your office with you for future use.

Thursday, August 31st

10:00 am - 12:00 pm (CT)                 Plan Templates/Relius Document/Relius Admin Link - Setting up specs is
the biggest part of establishing a plan, whether in Relius Administration or Relius
Documents. Many plans have the same provisions, formulas, requirements and
other options. Most of these choices are part of creating the checklist and
document, and then become choices and selections in Plan Specs.

This session will show how to use the project information from Relius Documents
ASP to set up the specs in Relius Administration. And if that wasn’t enough to
save time and effort, the session will also demonstrate how to use one plan’s
established specs to create the new plan with the same selections. There will
always be things to confirm, and some to change, but the RD/RA link, along with
the plan template, lets Relius do most of the work.

Afternoon Sessions

1:00 – 2:30 PM            Understanding Forfeitures - Are you confused by forfeitures? Let us demonstrate for you
(including break)            the proper method for processing forfeitures within Relius Administration. From plan setup
to census to forfeitures in suspense, we will cover it all.

Vesting Calculations and Issues - Participants “vest” or become entitled to receive a
portion of any contribution allocation over time. Some of these allocations are completed
vested immediately, while others accrue in part each year until the person is entitled to the
entire amount. It means using a prescribed schedule or timeframe. This session will examine
how these schedules are created and maintained in Relius Administration, how they are used
in our plans and what happens when eligibility is processed to increment or update a
participant’s vesting and vested account balance. The session will also look at problems that
can occur and how to resolve them.
Year-End Data Collection (YEDC) - A new web-based feature for Relius, using Relius
Exchange, allowing for the gathering of information from Plan Sponsors for reconciling data
at the end of the plan year for compliance and forms preparation. YEDC includes
validating/updating contact information, other business information and census, along with
detailed questionnaires to obtain information for annual compliance testing, contribution
allocations and completion of 5500 forms. Historically, this is has been a very manual and
cumbersome process using spreadsheets and back-and-forth email communications.

Membership Information

The objective of the Great Lakes Users Group is to help provide our members with the most up-to-date information concerning the Relius administration system and other products / services offered by FIS. The group is able to provide members with advance previews of forthcoming FIS software releases, a low cost training option for your employees and a direct voice to FIS for input on future software enhancements and other concerns that are impacting your business.
The annual dues are $90 per organization. The dues are to help provide a minimal cash reserve for various group purposes, primarily to help cover any meeting cost overruns and most importantly to help pay for any expenses associated with guest speakers at the meetings. We try to have FIS personnel at all meetings we hold because of the value they bring to the table.

Meeting costs for non-training sessions are $100 per attendee of member firms ($150 for non-member firms). Meeting costs for training sessions will be determined based on the number of days and topics involved.)

Advantages of being a group member include:

  • Advance registration for group meetings and training sessions
  • Discounted meeting registration fees
  • Custom Relius / GLUG webinar; available to members only
  • Minutes / meeting notes from group meetings
  • Networking access to other group members and FIS staff who attend the meetings

Over the years there have been many group members who call one another to discuss common problems and issues relating to the use of Relius. Members are generally very comfortable with helping one another.
