Central Western States User Group (CWSUG)

                           November 2, 2017

7:30 – 8:00                         Continental Breakfast and Registration

Sessions
(includes breaks and lunch)  Understanding Forfeitures - Are you confused by forfeitures? Let us demonstrate for
you the proper method for processing forfeitures within Relius Administration. From
plan setup to census to forfeitures in suspense, we will cover it all.

Reporting Efficiencies - We generate the results of our work in Relius by using
reports. But which one? And what’s the best way? Relius Administration has over 200
different reports and many ways to produce them. There are Standard Reports,
ReportWriter Reports, Queries, and other options. We can view, export, print, send
them to the web, e-mail them and even combine several into one file or process a batch.
We can choose our own defaults and even choose what data to include in a report. There
are so many options. Our results are still the same—but the ways we present them can
be many and varied. It’s our choice. This session will look at these options as well as
showcase some ‘hidden’ gems among all of the available report versions.

Data Validation (not DVC) - During this popular session, we will review the proper setup
for loans in Plan Specification, Loan Specifications, and Employee Loan setup for new and
takeover loans. Also, learn the different processing options for loan payments, how to
adjust prior loan payments, as well as deemed distributions versus benefit offset. The
session will also cover loan refinancing and re-amortization. Different reporting options will
                                          also be reviewed.
Plan Sponsor Web and DVC (including using DVC for balance forward plans) - This
detailed session demonstrates the proper setup of plan sponsor web which includes all its
wonderful features such as transactions, reporting and the Advisor Portal. In addition, we
will review how to setup and maintain the DVC module as well as how to use the DVC user
defined data validation rules. Learn how to not only scrub the data your plan sponsors
provide, but force them to send you the information you require to do the job they have
hired you to do. Using these rules can also help prevent bad data from being imported into
                                          your database.

What's Coming in Future Releases - During this session, see what’s scheduled to
be released for upcoming versions for both Defined Contribution and 125/Cafeteria.
Maybe an enhancement request you entered previously is on the horizon.
Advanced Compensation - In a plan, compensation and particularly computed
compensation, is the basis for many things. From determining the share of an allocation to
compliance testing and points in between. In this session, we’ll examine some advanced
issues in dealing with compensation including gross versus net, compensation earned prior
to plan entry and other items relating to the participant’s comp.

Change System IDs - In this session, learn what this wonderful utility can do for you with
social security numbers, plan ids, fund id’s and plan year end. Also, learn the tricks for
                                          working around data limitations.

                                           Roundtable Discussion (user-supplied situations)

The user group meeting is a great time to address issues or challenges that you've run into while working in Relius. If you have something specific, please submit your question or situation in advance to Jerri Olson (jerri.olson@fbdmn.com) so that the Relius trainer can be prepared to help you. We will address these as a group at some point during the day.

        April 27,2017

7:30 – 8:00                         Continental Breakfast and Registration
Sessions
(includes breaks and lunch)   All About Auto Enrollment - Regulations might require eligible participants to be
                                          automatically
enrolled in a 401(k) plan until and unless they specifically opt out.
The plan could also require this automatic enrollment to be at a specified contribution
rate which could go up over time. Even though participants might usually set their
own contribution rates or amounts, this might still be something the recordkeeper
needs to deal with. Fortunately, Relius Administration has several tools available to
help manage this process easily and efficiently.
Roth Contributions, Distributions & Rollovers - Since January 1, 2006, qualified
been able to allow employees to make Roth deferrals to their plans. Roth deferrals to
a 401(k) plan are the same as regular deferrals (pre-tax) except for the tax
consequences. Roth distributions also have unique considerations and starting in 2010,
participants can turn traditional contributions into Roth contributions using a new
In-Plan Roth Rollover option. During this session, we will look at how to set up the plan,
the census & payroll, the transactions and other steps needed to process Roth
                                          contribution amounts.

Loans - During this popular session, we will review the proper setup for loans in Plan
Specification, Loan Specifications, and Employee Loan setup for new and takeover
loans. Also, learn the different processing options for loan payments, how to adjust prior
loan payments, as well as deemed distributions versus benefit offset. The session will
also cover loan refinancing and re-amortization. Different reporting options will also be
                                          reviewed.

Transaction Processing Tools - Part consultative, part tips and tricks! Learn a new
approach to transaction processing options and the wealth of information available at
your fingertips. We also have information you should incorporate into your internal
                                          procedures to protect the data.

What's Coming in Future Releases - During this session, see what’s scheduled to
                                          be released for
upcoming versions for both Defined Contribution and 125/Cafeteria.
Maybe an enhancement request you entered previously is on the horizon.
Gain/Loss Allocations - We hope that a plan’s investments will grow over time.
But sometimes, the investments will shrink. In Relius, these changes are reflected
in our balances through the gains (and losses) we process. This session will look at
how these transactions are done, along with various ways the process can be made
more efficient. Gains (and Losses) can be processed for everyone in the plan and
investment or individual participants, and can be imported as well as processed
                                          through

Vesting Calculations and Issues - Participants “vest” or become entitled to
receive a portion of any contribution allocation over time. Some of these
allocations are completed vested immediately, while others accrue in part each
year until the person is entitled to the entire amount. It means using a prescribed
schedule or timeframe. This session will examine how these schedules are created
and maintained in Relius Administration, how they are used in our plans and what
happens when eligibility is processed to increment or update a participant’s vesting
and vested account balance. The session will also look at problems that can occur
                                          and how to resolve them.
